Tanglework
Move the dots until no lines cross. Untangle 16 original graph puzzles across four chapters, with clues, undo and no timer.
Tanglework is an original planarity puzzle game: rearrange connected dots until no lines cross or pass through an unrelated dot. Work through 16 authored boards across four chapters at your own pace. Drag a dot, or select it and tap an open space. Selected lines and crossing markers help you read the tangle, while Clue points out a useful part of the graph without moving anything for you. Undo restores earlier arrangements without reducing the moves already counted. Each clear leaves your finished drawing visible and unlocks the next board. Your current arrangement, unlocked boards and best move records save in this browser when storage is available.

How to play
Drag / tap a dot then an open space / Tab and arrows
Drag a dot to move it, or tap a dot and then an open space. Keyboard players can use Tab to focus a dot and arrow keys to move it; hold Shift for smaller steps.
Rearrange the graph until no lines cross. Lines may meet at their connected dots, but must not overlap or pass through unrelated dots.
Clue gives a short hint about the graph. Undo restores the previous arrangement while keeping the moves already counted.
Clear a board to unlock the next. Replay cleared boards to improve your own move records across all 16 puzzles.
Tips
Select a dot to focus its connected lines. Move it into open space so the remaining crossings are easier to see.
Crossing markers show what still needs work. A dot sitting on an unrelated line also needs to be moved clear.
There is no move limit. Try an arrangement, inspect the result and undo if you want to explore another approach.
Is Tanglework the original Planarity game?
No. Tanglework is an original game built around the graph-untangling rule: move connected dots until the lines no longer cross. It has its own 16 boards and four chapters.
Does Tanglework save an unfinished puzzle?
Yes. Your current arrangement, unlocked boards, best move records and last 20 undo arrangements save in this browser when storage is available. Clearing site data removes the save.
Can I play without dragging or a timer?
Yes. Tap a dot, then tap an open space to place it. There is no timer or move limit. Clue gives a short hint without moving a dot, and Undo restores an arrangement without lowering the move count.
