Dealflow

Tap to post hot takes, back made-up AI startups, ride the hype cycle and return your goblin venture fund in this idle clicker.

Dealflow is an idle clicker about a scrappy goblin venture capitalist in a fleece vest, building a fund from nothing in an AI boom. Tap the goblin to post hot takes: every tap earns cash and Hype, and quick taps build a combo. Spend cash on 12 kinds of staff and channels, from the Unpaid Intern and the Hot-Take Thread to the Podcast, GPU Allocation, Robo-Partner and Orbital Data Center, plus 57 one-time upgrades. Founders pitch you all the time: procedurally generated satirical startups across 12 sectors, like agents that schedule meetings about agents, each with a rarity from Common to Legendary, a stage, a valuation and a round that closes in about a minute. Your check buys a stake. From then on your companies raise rounds on their own, with up rounds, down rounds, pivots, flops, acqui-hires, acquisitions and IPOs, and the ones valued at $1 billion become unicorns. The market runs in cycles, Thaw, AI Spring, AI Summer, Bubble and AI Winter, and valuations swing with it: sell stakes at the top of the bubble before it pops, or buy cheap in the winter. Spend Hype on Demo Day packs of three startups with at least one Rare, tap the golden DMs that fly past, and hype up your best companies before their next round. Every startup you back fills a slot in your Binder: 60 sector-and-rarity slots, holo foils and 20 hand-written Legends, and the collection raises your income in every fund. Return the fund (1× the target) and you can close it: your score is the return multiple × 1000, with stars at 1×, 3× and 10×. Closing earns LP Trust for permanent perks, and each new fund is bigger and adds a mechanic: pro-rata double downs, board seats, late-stage deals and a mega-fund. Your staff keep earning while you are away, for up to 8 hours. Every company, founder and fund in Dealflow is made up. On Goblin Arcade your progress saves automatically.

How to play

Tap the goblin, tap cards and buttons / Enter or Space taps the focused goblin, 1–5 switch tabs, D opens Demo Day

Tap the goblin to post hot takes. Each tap earns cash and Hype, and tapping quickly builds a combo of up to ×3 (×4 with an upgrade).

Spend cash in Staff and Upgrades. Staff and channels earn cash every second; upgrades double their output, boost your taps and unlock tools like a bigger portfolio and a Market Analyst.

Back founders in Deals before their round closes. Your check buys a stake at the current valuation. Companies then raise rounds on their own until they exit or flop; open one in Portfolio to sell your stake, hype it up, or (from Fund II) double down.

Exits count toward your fund's return, and half of each exit is recycled into cash. Return 1× the fund's target to close it. Your score is the return multiple × 1000, and closing earns LP Trust for permanent perks and a bigger next fund.

Tips

Watch the market. Valuations run up to about ×3.5 in a Bubble and crash to about ×0.5 when it pops. Selling a big winner late in the bubble locks in the high mark; buying in AI Winter gets you a bigger stake for the same check.

Demo Day packs cost Hype and always include at least one Rare or better startup. Higher rarities tend to have better teams and survive more rounds.

Tap the golden DMs that fly across the office. They pay cash, Hype, a hot Rare-or-better deal, or a viral thread that makes income and taps ×5 for 20 seconds.

Hype it up before a company's next board meeting: the next round rolls with better odds and a bigger step-up.

The Binder pays forever: each filled slot, holo, Legend and completed sector row adds permanent income, and it carries over to every fund.

After a run of flops, an old friend sends you a strong deal, so a cold streak never lasts long.

Is Dealflow a free venture capital clicker game?

Yes. Dealflow is an original single-player idle clicker you play in the browser with no download, account or app. You grow a goblin venture fund by tapping, hiring staff and backing made-up AI startups.

Can I play Dealflow on a phone?

Yes. It is built for touch first and works in portrait and landscape. The goblin stays on screen while you switch between Deals, Portfolio, Staff, Upgrades and the Binder, and every button is at least 40 pixels.

Does Dealflow save, and does it keep earning while I am away?

On Goblin Arcade your fund, collection and perks save automatically. When you come back, your staff will have kept earning for up to 8 hours at half speed (a perk raises that), and your portfolio companies will have kept raising rounds. Played outside the arcade, progress lasts only until the page closes.

How is the score worked out?

When you close a fund, your score is its return multiple (cash returned from exits divided by the fund's target) × 1000, so returning the fund exactly once scores 1,000. Open positions are sold at 60% of their mark when you close. Stars mark 1×, 3× and 10×.

Are the startups and investors real?

No. Every company, founder, fund and investor in Dealflow is fictional. Names and pitches are generated or written for the game as affectionate satire of the AI startup boom, and nothing in it is investment advice.

Can I play if I am colorblind?

Yes. Rarity always shows its name and a distinct gem shape (circle, diamond, triangle, star, crown), gains and losses use ▲ and ▼ next to the numbers, and the market phase is written out by name.
